Figma Blog and Mikatan’s Blog updated with preview images of the upcoming “Figma Reimu Hakurei” from Touhou Project by Max Factory ^^
The figure is scheduled for release on January 2010. Details on the reservations will be revealed tomorrow over at Good Smile Company Site, together with “Nendoroid Kirisame Marisa” by Good Smile Company.

i have the say… That figma looks…. the BEST FIGMA i’ve ever seen…
the joints much concealed, the back posture looks fine and the faces are appealing [unlike of CANAAN!!!!] i’m not really a touhou fan but this looks amazing… [getting on wish list]

I have never played Touhou or read any of the material, but I may be getting this figma anyway ^^; Can’t wait tos ee more of it! xD

Most likely so. The creator of the Touhou games, ZUN, has made it clear that he does not want Touhou to become commercial. Thus, figures like this, though made by big-name companies, have to be released limited-edition or exclusive to please ZUN. Of course, its nothing bad. He’s not selfish, just a doujin purist.

Almost didn’t realize it was a figma at first glance. =D
Hopefully other makers might make Touhou project characters into scaled figures now.
