I’ve decided to start off with the review on “Saber Alter 1/8 Scale” by Solid Theater ^^
This figure was released on May 13th, 2008. It was originally scheduled for March 2008 release, so it’s quite a delay alright ^^;
A little bit of info on the character ^^ Saber Alter or Dark Saber, only appears during the game “Heaven’s Feel” storyline. Supposedly she was possessed by Angra Mainyu which transformed her onto the darkside, and also at the same time became Sakura‘s servant. She was later defeated by Emiya Shirou.
I never played the game though ( > _ < )
To tell the truth, I think the wait is worth it. This is probably the most coolest, fearsome, and gruesome Dark Saber up to date. The quality and the details are great. I like the way they painted and did the Dress Armor. It really shows that sense of weight and power.
The figure comes with the “Dark Excalibur” and an extra head with the Faceplate on, which you can switch around. As for the stand, it was made so that it can be connected with “Dark Sakura”, which is going to be released soon ^^

Awesome figure. Love the detailed dress and adding the face plate makes her look almost invincible.
The only thing I reckoned which ruined the whole overlook is the base. Too plain. T_T

True, the base is abit plain alright ^^; They should probably make something like a “Battleground” or “Graveyard” theme on it ^^;

This is the 2nd figure that you’ve reviewed that I had already decided not to buy but then after looking at your pictures I crumbled. Originally I wanted the WonFes one because I didn’t like how the veins looked on her in the prototype pictures. But she looks great in your pictures.
