From Figure/GK
A very nice looking Custom stand, yet simple, made specially for Figma Hatsune Miku. Looks like it’s made by carving out somekind of clear plastic material, or even better, glass ^^;
You can even use it for Nendoroid Hatsune Miku.
It kind of give you the idea to make your own Figure stand by using this method~XD

Oh that’s cool! I see they used the outline of the 1/8 Miku that’s coming out.

Nice! I can’t remember the specific name of the plastic, but you can buy it at Home Depot, surprisingly. It’s hugely popular with computer case modders. While I’m not sure what this person used to etch the text and image onto the base, it is possible to carve some really nice looking relief into the stuff using just a dremel.
As far as mods and customizations go, this really doesn’t look too hard. . . I’ll have to keep this in mind for future project.

That’s really cool, too bad I’m too lazy to do that myself XD

To Persocom: Yeah, it’d still take some time, especially if you wanted a custom shape for it. That’s why I’m probably not going to mess with it until my first resin kit. But when I do attempt it, I’m probably going to dremel from the back, so the front stays smooth and it gets that fun etched glass look. 🙂
Oh, in case anyone’s wondering, I finally tracked down what the plastic’s called. It’s polymethyl methacrylate, better known as acrylic glass or Plexiglas. Like I said, Home Depot sells it (usually near the skylights as I recall), in varying sizes and thicknesses. I still have some thin 1/4 inch stuff I meant to use for another project somewhere, now that I think of it. . .
