A preview scan look of the upcoming 1/4 scale figure of “Izumi Konata Gym Suit Ver.” from Lucky Star by FREEing. The figure is scheduled for June 2009 release. Price still undecided. Scan is from the latest issue of Hobby Japan magazine.

My jaw dropped when I see this. Look at the sheer size of her, compared to her Figma counterpart. This figure is atleast 4x the size of a normal Figma, which should put her around 50-60cm in height!! ( O _ o )
I know that the info mentioned around 35-37cm, but if you owned enough Figma(s) and try stacking them together, I can’t believe she’s around that height ( > _ < );

This is simply stunning…ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I would definitely purchase this however the chances of getting this shipped AIRMAIL or SAL are slim to none. Plus, i have to agree that it’s HUGE so where would it be placed?
Nontheless, it’s face is truly quite cute and there’s a lot of warmth from her face sculpt (especially her cheeks) ^^ I love her mouth sculpt! I’m guessing it will sell for probably 15000yen.
It’s the type of figure that should be placed on the floor or something. I hope it comes with the exact same wooden base!

I just noticed that FREEing puts real clothing on their figures? Are Konata’s pants really made of ‘track-pants’ materials? Is her shirt real?

After reading some other websites, it’s confirmed that the clothing can be removed..>_>
Hopefully underneath there’s a swimsuit ver. of some sort (like the Manabi Straight ToysWork PVCs)
