Continuing where we left off, Kuji Club finally updated their Site with fully painted previews of their upcoming Macross Frontier line up merchandises, complete with a Promo Video ^^
Top items are Klan Klang, Sheryl Nome, and Ranka Lee figures:
Other items were also added, which include the Petit figures.
Just like Code Geass, these will be up as Prize items where you have to test out your luck to get them. The items will be up in March 2009 for 800 Yen per try.
According to the Promo Video, there will be also two “Sheryl Nome & Ranka Lee Special Premium Ver.” of the latter.

Klan and Ranka looks great but Sheryl looks hideous. Thankfully Alpha x Omega is releasing a much better Sheryl. ^^

Can’t really remember the details, but it’s something like you buy stuff from a shop and then you get a coupon, which then you can exchange it for the items above.
If you are lucky then you will get the top prize for given price, but of course, the possibility of getting the top prizes is minimal, which is why they can fetch quite a price on auction sites.
For example is the previous Code Geass set. I heard someone actually bought the C.C figure (top prize) for 50,000 Yen ^^;

@ oneandonlyjem: Come on! They look great! I do believe your standards are too high… Even the C.C. figure by Kuji Club was praised as one of the best C.C. figures.
Going to get the Ranka figure myself, together with the VF-27, the only figure of my favourite Valk.

Wow! 50,000 yen for the C.C. figure? You can get one on Yahoo Auctions Japan at a much, much, much lower price.

@TH: HLJ usually will list these sets for pre-order. But the whole set cost 80,000yen! Anyway, orders for this Macross set is already stopped but the upcoming Gurren Lagann set is still up for pre-order for those interested.

80k Yen for the whole set probably includes the 3 pvc figures as well, in which Im not interested in at all.
How is HLJ for international shipping? I usually order from Play-Asia and standard delivery takes 5 to 4 working days to reach me (in Dubai from HK).

@Actar: Yes, of course, my standards are too high. I only go with manufacturers I trust 400%. It depends on whomever is praising that C.C. figure as I have never been convinced by her. So, if I don’t care for it, I won’t buy it. Patience is a virtue and I will wait for another C.C. figure by AlphaxOmega, ALTER or Volks.

I am trying to cancel my preorder for the Sheryl PVC through overdrive. I was highly disappointed after seeing this “final” product. They really goofed up on the colors of Sheryl and the face just screams wtf…..Such a promising sculpt has turned into disaster IMHO.

Site was updated. Close-look photos changed to others. Now faces more calm in color, nearly to the artistic make-up.
