Next we have this hot looking “Yomako Teacher” from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann by Alter ^^
This 1/8 scale figure was released back in Febuary 2009 and is the first part of Alter’s entry from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann series, with Yoko Littner as the 2nd. Standing at 22cm, this figure is definitely a must get for Yoko fans out there.
Excellent sculpt and paint job, simple yet charming at the same time. There isn’t much figure made depicting Yoko in her “Yomako” ego, but Alter definitely did a good job as one of the first few companies that made her.
The figure comes with a few accessories; A Stick and a Chalk. Of course she can only hold one, so it’s up to you which one you would prefer. A custom base stand is also provided, featuring a wooden floor design, most likely her classroom’s.
She definitely got the charm here. Who doesn’t want a hot teacher like her teaching anyway ^^;
On with the shots~
(Right Click on Images, and choose “Open Image” for higher resolutions)
Close ups~
Hmmm nice curves~
Lastly, with some Photoshop effects~
That ends my review on Yomako ^^
No pantsu shot this time since it’s quite hidden, and the only way to see it is to peel her skirt out, which means damaging the figure. You can go Here if you really want to see it ^^;
Look forward to the next one~ ( ^ _ ^ )/

1. I don’t know what you mean, these images aren’t links, so I can’t click them for bigger versions?
Unless I go to properties and hit the photobucket page where they are hosted?
2. I have to say, I think of myself as a Yoko Fan, and this figure is not one of my favourites. It’s a nice figure, but that’s all it is.
3. I’m not sure I like the actual gashes for her sweater, I’m not sure I object to them, but I waffle.
4. I really don’t like the shading of her skirt, the shades of green are slightly off, and the hue shading is just not so good, and unclear where the lighting is supposed to come from…

The image doesnt have hot links, so yeah, you need to “right click” on the image and open it in a new window or tab for higher resolutions ^^;

I use IE8, I need to right click>Properties>Copy the Photobucket link, enter it manually to my browser line, and then reach the photo on photobucket.
Or is there another way?

Hmm that’s weird, IE should have the option to just “Open Image” without going to properties.
I’m using Opera and Firefox ^^;

I like the Photos and the review! I don’t own this figure myself so i don’t know if the green color that appears in the shadow of her skirt is made by the light of the photoshoot or if it just is the color of her skirt ^^ It looks a little weird when you get the feeling that it should be brown?
I love this figure and would like to see more figure reviews from your side! ^^ Awesome work..

Yomako-Sensei isnt really appealing to me.Her Outfit is too conversative for my taste but thats just my personal opinion.I have an ecchi mind so what? ^^

Starting to like Alter more and more.
The stick is definitely a better choice considering that the chalk is barely visible.
Was that her uniform in the anime? Don’t really remember, but it’s not really to my tastes. =/

Yeah, i use IE8 as well, and if you right click, it’s just like any other image that isn’t linked to anything. Might be just IE8 is crappy.
anyway about the figure, looks good. though I wonder if what she’s wearing is suitable to teach primary school kids lol

[…] elle était présentée avec la version Yomako-sensei (consultez les reviews de Dancing Queen, Wcloudxkumo, et Kyn Chan), qui avait été éclipsée par la Bounty Hunter, et, à vrai dire, je le comprends […]

Awesome photos^^
Just want to ask how did you arrange your lights?
Cos I see no shadow at all OMG!!
How many lights u use?
How did you make the background darker than the foreground? (Can be seen distinctively in the Louise review)
Sorry for asking so many question at a time^^;

For lightning, I only use 2 light sources and they are all table lamps ^^
For the arrangements, you can go to this post:

As for darker backgrounds, I usually just dim the lights a bit with the help of tracing papers.
