She looks great from the front, when she’s looking at you. She loses a lot from the side, especially the expression.

Her body looks longer, and more graceful, in the source image. I think part of it is that she’s too much at a backward angle pose in the figure.

Also, where did the cloak come from? And I want to see the section of the figure where the cloak connects to the body.

    Interesting!

Doesn’t look too bad. Can’t wait for the Alphard. :3

I hope the nendoroid comes soon though.

At first I thought the floating cape was weird, but I guess she just threw it off as she jumped for the shot. XD

Sweet! I love how they added the cloak in, reminds me of the festival scene from the first ep.

Haha GSC /would/ make two figures for the same scene. Now I have to buy both, just like the sisters from Candy Boy!

More quality work from GSC, love seeing their work. Canaan’s face is a bit loli when compared to the anime version, but still looks good.

Have to definitely get both figures to complete the epic fight!

Maybe… Think about, if there will be an option with the calm face. Same as in anime, or on the print scene.

  14. Unknown's avatar Figure Friday – August 14th to 20th in Review. « Geekorner-Geekulture. Says:

[…] Compared to the source picture, Canaan’s body looks a bit short, would’ve worked better if she was more upright. This makes her look a bit less graceful and long limbed. The cloak isn’t actually attached to her body. The face is also slightly more emotional/short than her long face. Very cool figure though, very dynamic, if you don’t mind the pin holding her up. Personally, I think she looks best when she’s “shooting at you”, so you can see her face. Alphard from the original picture is also getting released. Canaan also got a Nendoroid treatment, which is too ordinary, and looks like the clone of the Ryogi Shiki nendoroid. January 2010, 200mm, 8,318 yen. Reserve. BTW, for some reason you’ll note that the pictures of her cloak on Nekomagic are considerably a darker shade of brown than on Kumo’s blog. […]
