  1. Optic Says:

    Quited tempted. 🙂
Well, it’s either the nendo or the figma.

  2. Guy Says:

Is it just me, or are GSC anxious to release all the Canaan figures they can as soon as they can, both to cash in on the series being new, and perhaps before other companies can? heh.

    • ChuaChuram Says:

Seems so. Haruhi and lucky star have been milked dry.

Canaan is a bit dull imho.

      • Guy Says:

GSC seems to be engaging in a very common error, that took many companies and even industries under: The glut.

GSC sees they’re making very good money from figmas and nendoroids, so they decide to make more. They keep making more money, so they in turn make a lot more.

Now, GSC’s revenue rises, because yes, some figures people will buy and others they will not, and some people will buy all figmas/nendoroids, regardless.

But most people will be content with what they have, become more choosy, or frankly, will have the same amount of money to spend on an increasing number of figures.

So what will happen is that GSC’s revenue (gross income) will rise, but their profits will fall down, because each single figure, on average, will sell less. And that’s the tiger they’ll have to run, and why companies strive to reduce costs even more: so long the costs are low enough, the higher revenue might make up for it, but eventually, a glut is self-defeating.

  3. Acesan Says:

Hmmm watched a few eps of Canaan. Hasn’t really pulled me in yet. Also don’t like her character design … so leaning on not getting this figma even though I’ve got nearly every other figma so far >_>

  4. Lelouch Says:

CANAAN is overrated… just coz’ TYPE-MOON had a hand in it, people are going ooh and aah over it… bleh

  5. Persocom Says:

Wow lots of Canaan hate. I love Canaan for what it is, who cares who made it, if you enjoy it that’s what counts. Anyways hoping she doesn’t come out until January or something so I can fit her in my tight figure buying schedule.

  6. SirusRiddler Says:

If you ask me, CANAAN is the perfect equivalent to a summer action flick for this season’s anime. That aside, the voice cast is A-list and the visuals are pretty up there. You either like or don’t like TYPE-MOON’s style though.

In the end, there are those who played “428: FÅ«sa Sareta Shibuya de” and probably still enjoying CANAAN. I mean, there’s quite a bit of direct references in the anime apparently.

What bugs me about this figma though is…no Synesthesia Mode face? That should have been an automatic. Or maybe I’m not seeing it…

    • Ringo Says:

if you look close enough at the second and third pictures you can see she has red eyes in them…or at least that’s what I see ><

anyway, this is definitely a must get for me. I love Canaan and i'm collecting figmas that come with guns, lol.

  7. Kanon Says:

I like this figma. Haven’t seen the anime, but Canaan looks cool. Considering getting her..

  8. lovelyduckie Says:

Just the figure is enough…I don’t like the looks of the nendo or the figma. I feel like even bothering with owning either of them cheapens the presence of the character in that figure.

  9. SirusRiddler Says:

Geez…when did everyone start getting so butthurt over a figure? If you don’t like it then don’t buy it.

For all GSC cares, they’ll still be making money off of whatever figure they make.

    • ChuaChuram Says:

I think some of us would just like more variety then whats currently being “hyped” about. I don’t think saying a figure is dull or uninteresting is being “butthurt” > >..

      • SirusRiddler Says:

Well…it’s not like we can expect GSC to keep busting out releases of figures from more obscure or older series. In fact, it’s been awhile since they’ve actually released a figure from a show that’s still on-air. I can’t remember the last time they did actually. Look at all the Haruhi and Lucky Star figmas, for Pete’s sake. xD

Canaan is a fine character to make a figure (PVC, figma, Nendoroid, whatever) of for obvious reasons but the attitude I’m getting from here is that CANAAN should have never been touched at all. But to each their own, I suppose.

    • Guy Says:

      Not really Sirus.

We want quality figures, that look different from other figures.

We’d also like not getting 60 nendoroids and 40 figmas every month (I know I’m bloating the figures up).

More time, and actually different figures.

      • ChuaChuram Says:

Exactly. The nendoroid count has increased to 5-6 a month now instead of the usual 2-3, at most. Don’t get me wrong I love nendoroids but they aren’t easy to store and you just don’t appreciate them when they release so many at once. As for Figma’s, well, I’m waiting for a Metis (unlikely), Luka and BRS. Nothing else would really catch my interest. I’m a big Busou Shinki fan but they haven’t released anything new for almost a year.

        /end rant

  10. Reltair Says:

Canaan looks like another solid figma to get. The dynamic aspect of a figma really fits her character since you can pose her in a wide variety of action scenes.

    Can’t wait to actually get a figma physically. All of mine are on preorder. ^^;
