Mikatan updated her Blog with more screenshot previews from the upcoming “Black Rock Shooter -Pilot Edition” anime, which will be on sale on September 30th, 2009, in both DVD/CD and Blu-Ray/CD form ^^
The Pilot Edition will include a 90-second long footage from the Anime, plus a number of new song tracks from the series. The anime itself is scheduled to air in Spring 2010.
On other news, 10 lucky winners will be able to get their hands on this exclusive “Black Rock Shooter Charm” from Good Smile Company. All you need to do is go Here, fill in the application form (Nickname, E-mail, Gender, Region & Age) and write a remark or feedback on the upcoming BRS anime.
Application already started and will run through until September 18th, 2009. Winners will be decided through Lucky Draw and will be announced on Mikatan’s Blog shortly after.
I wonder if it’s limited to Japan, but you can try joining since she didn’t mention anything on that ^^;

The charm was sold at Comiket, or a very similar charm, heh.
BTW, I don’t get it. I mean, I can hardly get it when people buy a proto-DVD with 1-2 episodes, but this?
People are going to buy something for 90 seconds of footage? Truly?
That’s even more fanatic than usual (“Fan” is short for “Fanatic”, for those who didn’t know).
That’s something you do not because it’s worth it, but because spending money on something “mere humans” won’t shows how serious an otaku you are.
It’s all about otaku cred

Both DVD/Blu-ray are under 2,000 yen.
It comes with a mini-episode/sound tracks/mini-artbook. What more can you ask for for under 2,000 yen??

I’m surprised it’s released at all.
It depends on what the focus is on:
If it’s a CD with a nice DVD, then cool.
If it’s marketed as the 90 seconds anime teaser, which also has songs? Not cool.
But that’s just me. Also, how many songs? How many pages and how big the artbook?

Ah, the “Area” is drop-down, so I guess they didn’t input the areas for us gaijins.

BRS is something GSC can milk dry for all I care. Finally something good. They better make a figma and nendo of both BRS and DM xO
I think I like Dead Master the best.
Anyway, I hope someone uploads this after it comes out. Yeah, I said it.

Like you say before, “BRS is something GSC can milk dry.” So I’m sure they’ll make the rest of the crew. [:

I think that was a custom. Do you have any links please?
Would be happier with a fimga but a nendo is still good.

Don’t think people outside Japan can do it, since the choices they give you for area are limited… but that charm is uber cute. :’D Too bad it’s exclusive. TwT

Isn’t that girl in the uniform next to the other girl drinking water Dead Master? hahaha.

I can see BRS having as much figures as Ikki Tousen/Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu/Lucky Star etc. once the anime airs.
