AmiAmi Goes International With English Site Opens!!

ami

Rejoice peeps!! AmiAmi has just opened their English Site earlier, which means it’s the start of their International shipment service!! ^^

For now they only accept Paypal as payment and Just like Hobby Search, they only provide EMS service for shipment. There are no Point System, but the Discount Price plus the availability of “Limited/Exclusive Goods” which AmiAmi is famous for is good enough to satisfied the customers ^^

Keep in mind that there are some restrictions, for example you cannot cancel your orders. Please read the FAQ(English) carefully before making your orders.

They just started their International Service, so more options and better service should be available in the future ^^

I, for one, is really excited with the news. This means that I have more option on where I can order stuffs, not to mention it’s AmiAmi ^^

Via AmiAmi(English).

I’m still going to stick with Hobby Search. I looked at their site earlier. Their stock’s worse than HS for sure. >>

Do we have to pay right away when we preorders things or when they become instock??

    • ChuaChuram's avatar ChuaChuram Says:

Pay right away I believe. My Japanese friend always orders from their and I have to pay her right away so I’m assuming that.

      • rocklee_san's avatar rocklee_san Says:

I preordered Marisa kirisame and amiami has send me a mail a week ago telling me this:

        *PLEASE DO NOT PAY YET*
When the item is in stock, and your shipping fee has been calculated,
we will invoice you the grand total.
Please wait for our next mail.
(If there is any release date change, we will let you know.)

  13. Guy's avatar Guy Says:

Wow, not needing proxy services for many limited edition items would rock so hard..

  14. Guy's avatar Guy Says:

Dammit, if I didn’t already pre-order Megurine Luka somewhere that doesn’t allow cancellations, cheaper here… but now that I think of it, that site offers SAL.

    Still, options!

  15. phossil's avatar phossil Says:

In my case I didnt know about amiami (probably because it was not an English site). Will check it out for compare prices.

    BEST. THING. EVER.

  17. chibihien's avatar chibihien Says:

I’m switching over from Hobby Search… the prices are way more enticing, though I’m leaving 1 pre-order on HS just so i can use up all the points i collected.

  21. iron2000's avatar iron2000 Says:

Haven’t shopped at these japanese online stores yet.
Had only bought some gunpla runners from HLJ which turned out pretty expensive.

  22. Kazearashi's avatar Kazearashi Says:

Cannot cancel ordered item huh… That’s not good as I sometimes would cancel item that i’ve preordered… x3 Well but it’s good to see more options on buying stuff.. xD

  23. Panther's avatar Panther Says:

Awesome news but the restrictions are just WTF. It does make one think carefully on whether or not to order. Oh well I am not that much into buying figures anymore, so only limited ones will really catch my attention, if even that.

    • Guy's avatar Guy Says:

Well, maybe it’d lead to people being a bit more sensible about money πŸ˜‰

The “Delays broke my wallet” never made any sense, and now when people commit, they know they do. Might result in less impulse purchases, once people train themselves.

  24. Reltair's avatar Reltair Says:

Nice, now I have a place to pre-order limited/exclusives from.

  25. arcium's avatar arcium Says:

Nice, this will be a good compliment to Hobby Search.

  26. Leomb's avatar Leomb Says:

I’m new in all this thing. But how do they send to you your preorders? I mean, which incoterm is it? FOB, CIF, DEQ, DES, DDU, DDP? I mean, the package arrive to your home? The postal service arrive to your home and give you the notification that there is a package to you to pick up? Or what?

    • Guy's avatar Guy Says:

They send via EMS. Meaning it goes around the globe quickly, when it reaches your country, it depends on how your country deals with EMS. But they ship it quickly, and in my case, send me a notice to come and pick it up from the post office, where I sign for it.

But I also go to the post office for SAL πŸ˜‰ It just takes longer.

    • wcloudxkumo's avatar wcloudxkumo Says:

      Pretty much about it.

      In my case, they send it straight to my doorstep. Let’s say no one at home to receive the goods, then they’ll leave me a notice and asked to collect it at the post office. I can also ask them to send it again to my place though if I’m lazy to collect ^^;

So yeah, it depends on each country services. I think you should check your post office if you’re not sure about it.

  29. ifigma's avatar ifigma Says:

Hi. I’m still wondering whether to switch over from HS.
Cos the main reason for me, is the difference in price

    Do u have any advice?
Is is shop better than HS? or equal?
Personally, have u used it before

Do I have to pay right after I pre-order a figure that will be release in a few weeks time?

  30. Teapot's avatar Teapot Says:

I know it’s been over a month since this news was out but there seems to be many people here who know about AmiAmi so i’ll try my chance:

I pre-ordered a figure there that’ll be out in 2010. That item was not avaible in other online shops so i was happy with it. But then i had a question about payment: So far I only shopped from HLJ and Play-Asia like places with PayPal. And these sites direct me to the PayPal site themselves when the payment is required so all i have to do is enter my password and the payment is done.

In other words i never “SENT” money before with another method in PayPal.

So how does things work with AmiAmi? Will it be like the others too or do they get the payments in a different way?

Can somebody who uses PayPal please explain, that’d be very appreciated! πŸ™‚

    Merry Christmas πŸ™‚
