Kyoto Animation finally updated their K-ON! Figure Site with a full preview images of their upcoming 1/8 scale figure of “Tainaka Ritsu” in full colour ^^
Similar to Mio, she can only be ordered through KyoAni Online Shop. The figure is scheduled for September 2010 release at 8,000 Yen retail price and reservations already opened as of today. You can place your order Here.

Oh well would you look at that- she looks beautiful now painted. Her facial expression is almost identical to the Mio in this set though. I love the fingers however… great sculpt. Oh- and the base. Love the simplicity of the base. (Thanks to the base, you can place her VERY close to the mio in this set, to recreate the on stage positioning of the characters!)
And the price- another 8000Y? Seems like a bit much, seeing as Mio & her huge dress was priced the same.
What I really want to know is what they have for Yui & Tsumugi. Obviously they are not worried about including their instruments nearby, but they are taking the time to make some unique poses!

I like her better than KyoAni’s Mio. But still not worth going through the trouble of buying her. Especially since other companies are coming out with their own K-ON figures.

KyoAni is not doing a bad job with their K-ON! figures, but the increased price/trouble to obtain these exclusives makes it not worthwhile for me.
This costume for Ritsu I find a bit meh.
