With the release of “Nendoroid Snow Miku” recently, a number of forgeries have now circulating around the net, and Good Smile Company have kind enough to update their Imitation Info Page to show and warn us about it.
Left (Blue) is Fake and Right (Red) is Genuine:
– Take note of the “Snow Crystal” printed on the packaging box. Fakes used normal prints, where as the genuine ones used glittery and dented prints.
– Take note of the colour of the ties. Genuine has gradient colour on it, where as fakes are solid colour. The face expression is “Opened Mouth” for the fake.
– Take note of the packaging box. Originals should have the “Miku Mobile” ads printed on it.
– Take note of the Base Stand. Originals should have the copyright marks of Crypton Future Media.
Keep a look out peeps~!!

Took them long enough to post this – it was spotted in various shops across SE Asia way back from last month!

Seems pretty easy to spot a fake.
And I still haven’t received my Snow Miku yet. 😦

I think the mouth and eyes are a dead giveaway.
This goes for any popular nendoroid figure:
go to ebay, check the expensive auction’s photos, then check the cheap auction’s photos. compare the non-stock photos. simple as that.

I just found out mine is one of these fakes… Got it off ebay.
It was significantly cheaper than most of them though, so I guess it wasn’t a total ripoff.

jjh,
Dude, totally return or leave bad feedback if they don’t refund you.
Anyway I got a fake one and I AM MAD. Luckily the seller accepts returns for full refunds.
Don’t buy nendoroids from ebay. Get it from a legit online retailer.
I have a cool snow miku reserved from bigbad toy store myself. It’s the cool playtime edition w/ the joints.

Can I still order an orginal Snow Miku? [How much? And how?] This is my first time to plan buying a nendroid and I totally fell in love immediately with Snow Miku.
I saw one in a mall but good thing I saw this post before I brought it >.< I can feel that the one I saw is a total fake though… [I really want the orginal one!]

Originally the figures were sold for limited time only, so it might be a bit difficult to find it on sale now, but even if there’s any, usually the price would be doubled if sold.
