Earthquake May Affect Release Dates

quake

Earlier today a strong earthquake (8.9) hit Japan and GSC office kind of got hit by it, but good thing none of the staffs got hurt.

Anyway, the damage may affect some release dates, so don’t be surprised if there are delays coming for this month’s release dates. For more information on the Earthquake you can go Here.

This may affect other company’s releases also.

And the screencap of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is quite appropriate @_@.

I cannot believe that you actually posted this. When people out there are actually dying and fighting for their lives, you post about delays in release dates due to the tragedy?!

    Have a heart.

Ummm, I don’t think I did anything wrong. It’s not like I posted this and not caring of what happening to everyone. For your information, my country also got the Tsunami Warning because of this. If you think I don’t care a single bit then I don’t know what to say. Not everyone is that inconsiderate, so don’t jump into conclusion.

If I’m offended you then, I apologized.

There’s nothing wrong about the post imho.

It’s not about the release dates for me, but having some news/breaking the communication gap, being in the dark whether or not those working for example in GSC.

Too some minor extent, it’s also having a different perspective of the damage aside from is what being seen in the news. Them being able to tweet/post about it in their respective sites means those guys are a-ok.

While the delays on certain products does in no way take even a small glimmer of the spotlight away from the tragedy that has occured, it is still relevant to what this blog is about. So there’s nothing wrong or innapropriate about wcloudxkumo’s post in my opinion. If this was posted on some major news providers website then obviously there would be a major problem, but this isn’t the case here.
Personally, the fact that certain figures may get delayed means very little to me at this moment knowing that people are suffering or worse. However it is still important to report this kind of news to all those who need to know, on the appropriate forum. And that is exactly what has been done here, so no problem.^^

He translated a post by Mikatan herself, so ummmm…Mikatan (The merchandising promoter for GSC) has no heart? Look at your blog, you are posting about anime today, how is that different from merchandise?

Honestly I just looked at your blog post about the earthquake and it looks like your new to the internet. Welcome to the internet.

      • TRazor's avatar TRazor Says:

Ok. What do you want me to say?

        You have a heart?

Fine, you have a heart. And there is nothing wrong with this post.

@omnom – I posted about anime, but not how anime is being delayed by earthquakes. Those are two different things. I’m not new to the internet. But doesn’t mean I’m going to let trolls talk shit about some of my friends who I have no idea what happened to during the earthquake.

    • Omnom's avatar Omnom Says:

Again, welcome to the internet. Arguing is pointless and so is getting offended. You think those comments were bad? Go to 4chan’s /b/, a topic about Japan almost at 9k posts of nothing but pure hate, jokes and people wanting all of Japan to sink and die and I mean every single one of those posts was just that.

Trolls? You don’t know how to deal with trolls? This only backs up you’re new to the internet. The only way to combat a troll is to completely IGNORE them.

“Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you’re still retarded.”

btw, some anime is being delayed by the disaster.

I say all this with no offense to the Japanese people and I’m glad they are finally starting to get the power plants under control and things aren’t getting worse for them.

to be honest it aint new. the knew someday they would been hit by a big one. and dont forgot about the earth lines across the worlds. japan is also a country with lots of volcano’s. Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is appropriate.

reason is that was a senario with the day like today. nature will always strike back 1 day.

  7. CBtan's avatar CBtan Says:

I agree, its purely information relevant to the objectives of this site.

    Still, it was really shocking, when I saw it on the screens at the broadcasting station I work at, I almost missed the countdown on a Live Basketball game >.<;

Though at least I can take solace in the discipline and courage of the Japanese to come out of this better than before.

Wow, one moment of anger in a comment and the whole place floods.

Well that’s what you get for going emo-rage over someone just translating an announcement posted by Mikatan.

      :p

Ahh… Mika-tan is looking out for us even in times like this ❤ and I'm sure anyone would be fine with the delays… Hope those figurine companies isn't making too much of a loss from the earthquake and that they can recover soon… =/
