Continuing where we left earlier, here’s the 2nd part of the Outing coverage, which are the photos ^^ Enjoy~!!
(Right Click on Images, and choose “Open Image” for higher resolutions)
First are the Day/Afternoon shots. Let’s start with Haruhi and Yuki (Didn’t take much photos on both of them) ^^
Saber~
Gordon’s Claire (The first 3 is taken by Gordon, using my Camera, since he wanted to try out DSLR ^^;)
Panther’s Shinra~
Squee’s Kanu~
My Lulu aiming to be a “Low Angler”~XD
Fariz’s Miku~
Next is the Night Shots!! Which I think is the best out of my Day/Afternoon photos, and also my favourites ^^
We’ll start off with Fariz’s Miku~
Squee’s Kanu~
Lastly, Panther’s Shinra~
Some candid shots of our group photos ^^;
Well, that ends my coverage ^^; As you can see, I didn’t take much photos of my figures ^^; Ironically, all the PVC figures have better results than my Figmas~XD The night photos are definitely my favourites, especially the one with Shinra, since her colour corresponds with the surrounding area.
Looking forward to next photoshoot outing, and next time, I’ll bring my PVCs instead~XD

You LIED to us saying the flash was not working and your camera was not flashing. NICE ONE.
Thanks and glad for Shinra’s night shots, she really looks nice in yours. Dammit now I can only depend on D40 and above for night shoots though. 😦

Yes, I noticed that figmas are extremely hard to focus for most compact camera models but didnt expect a DSLR having problems with figmas as well.

thanks for going through with me some of the basic of DSLR and also letting me take a few shots with your D40. the quality looks great. me seriously considering getting a DSLR soon. ^^;

Thx for giving me the refresher on Manual mode XD I gotta shoot manual more often else I’m gonna forget how to use it…
❤ the 4th shinra night shot with the cloud in the background.

tanoshisou ssne~ i’m partial to the shinra-sama shots, being a fellow owner ^_^;
Not to nitpick, (and also i’m a total photography noob), but it seemed like lots of the night shots were kind of on the dark side? or perhaps it’s just my computer… anyhow i was kinda bored and took the liberty of tweaking some of them in photoshop a little… (sorry, did so without askin’ ya ^^;; please let me know if you want me to take them down)

@Panther
lol, those were actually the test shots~XD
@Abao
I think it’s more like the Figma I brought doesn’t really suit the environment ^^; I need to choose carefully on what to bring next time.
@Gordon
No problem, glad to help ^^ Yeah, DSLR is always nice to have ^^
@Squee
No problem ^^ The cloud is actually one of the lucky shots, didn’t expect it to be that nice though~XD
@Meronpan
Yeah, it was fun ^^ You should try outdoor photoshoot sometimes ^^
Ah, don’t worry about it. I don’t mind~:p Actually I did try to brighten it up a bit, but in the end it kind of messed up the colours. So decided not to put it up too much ^^; I’m trying to get the colour as natural as possible.
But thx for the heads up, and nice results there~^^

wanted to ask something. clare was kinda dusty as i forgot to wipe it when i leave the house. did your D40 capture all the dust when viewed in original resolution?
June 24, 2008 at 12:26 am |
@Meron: Dark shots are t3h cool. Too much flash and it ruins the image. We wanted to capture the dark night and the background.

@wcloudxkumo,
I am pretty much impressed by your Figma’s Saber photos there, reminds me of the ED of FSN.
@gordon,
I strongly believe the D40 DSLR did capture those dust sticking on Clare.
@Panther,
One applicable technique for better night scene would be using HDR. DSLR camera recommended for HDR.

@Gordon
lol, there were dust on it? To tell the truth, I didn’t notice them until you told me~XD
@Divine Fang
Thx ^^
hmmm HDR. Never thought about that actually~:p

I don’t mean to be a troll but; holy shit look at all those geeks. And did you guys really bring a bunch of girl figurines to a park and take photos of them? I think you guys deserve a “big balls” trophy and applause for that.
