Anyway, remember the 3 “Secret” figures image earlier? One of them is indeed Kuran Kuran Chibi form ^^ Scheduled for November 2008 release.

On other news, a poster was spotted at Alpha x Omega booth announcing that they’re planning to make figures of Kalen and Shirley from Code Geass, scheduled for December 2008 release ^^ I have the feeling the other 2 secret figures might be the 2 of them ( ^ _ ^ );

As we all can see from the image above, looks like Alpha x Omega going to announce 3 new figures during this coming Wonfest 2008, or atleast they are going to display the finished product ^^
My only guess is that those 3 might be from Macross Frontier. I know that the far right is Kuran Kuran Micron Ver. since they have already shown the prototype before. The middle one looks like Alto to me~XD Well, we’ll just have to wait for tomorrow I guess ^^
On other news~ According to Shine Na Blog, we will get to see some new Shining Wind figures displayed/announced during tomorrow’s Wonfest 2008 ^^ They includes Kotobukiya‘s Ryuna (Above Image), and others might be Alter‘s Claclaclan Full Armor Version, and Max Factory‘s Seena ^^
Alright~ Next review will be “Asahina Mikuru Maid Ver.” by Alter, in collaboration with Chara-Ani. This will be the 1st for the month of August ^^
The figure was released earlier last month on July 2nd, 2008, and is my first ever PVC figure of Mikuru ^^; I was hoping to get my hand on Max Factory‘s Waitress Mikuru first, but still no luck on her ( > _ < );
Anyway back to topic~ As expected from Alter, the quality was great. I don’t know why, but I think the most obvious point that usually distinguished between Alter’s product from the others is probably their paint job. How should I say it, theirs have more “depth” in the colours they used.
No other accessories given. You just need to take it out of the box and it’s ready for display. The most disappointing part of the figure is probably just the plain base stand. Otherwise, everything is perfect ^^

That’s what Good Smile Company trying to tell us. Looks like the trend of fake figurines is starting to get out of hands that GSC has to resort to this.
Good Smile Company just updated their “Imitation” info with a new line up figurines. This time it’s “Clayroid puchi Lucky Star Season 01”. The above image are Fakes. Other info includes bad paint jobs, shiny and oily-look surface, and different base stand. You can view more info on the fake items here. The one in RED is Authentics, and BLUE is fakes.
Other discovered GSC fakes product include Nendoroid L, Nendoroid Asahina Mikuru, and Max Factory‘s Saber/Zero. You can view them here.
I think this is a really important matter to anyone who is also a figure collectors like myself. I’ve never gotten any fakes before, but this info does give me more insight on what’s happening out there. I know some people who already got tricked before. So please be careful when you are trying to purchase figurines from an unknown sources, especially Ebay and Yahoo! Auction.
More research on the stuffs you want to get is one thing you could do. Be smart peeps!! ( ^ _ ^ )/
As promised, here is the next review. This time it’s “Clayroid Puchi Lucky Star Season 02” by Good Smile Company ^^
This was supposed to be posted yesterday, but I had some slow connection problem which prevented me from uploading the images ^^;
Anyway back to topic~ As the name implies, this is the 2nd set of the Lucky Star Clayroid series. Just like previous releases, the set contained a total of 12 figures. There are 5 different characters with each getting 2 different versions, a Secret figure, and an extra random figure. This time the secret figure is none other than Saber Konata ^^ As for the characters line up, we’re getting a whole new line up, except Konata, which is still included in this set. Each figure is standing at 6-7 cm in height.
I’m quite pleased with the quality. Just like the 1st set, the paint jobs were great. The joints are firmly fit together, which I think is the most important aspect of the series. You don’t want your figure to fell all over the place right? ^^; Another excellent set I have to say.

This new 1/6 scale figure of “Kan’u Unchou Festival Ver.”, will be available this coming October 2008 by Amie-Grand. It will retails at a whoopin’ price of 16,800 Yen. Hobby Search is taking pre-orders for her as of today.
The figure is made out of Polystone, which is why the high price. Hmmm, she sure looks “Oily”, although the figure does looks interesting~XD
Alright~ Next review is this lovely figure of “Another Blood 1/8 Scale” by Max Factory ^^
A little bit of info on the character~
Another Blood is a character from the series Demonbane by Nitro+, although she was only appeared in the game“Kishinhisho Demonbane”and was never featured in the anime TV series. It’s understandable since the TV series was based on the first game “Kishinhoukou Demonbane” and Kishinhisho is the sequel to the first game. You can view the game OP below:
Opening song is “Rise on Green Wings” by Itou Kanako. She also sings the ending song of the anime TV series.
Anyway back on topic~ The figure itself was released earlier few weeks ago on July 14th,2008. She was sculpted based on the following illustration:

This is probably one of the best looking figure I have. She looks gorgeous, definitely at the top level, in terms of quality, paint job, and details. Even her pose and expression is really convincing, as if she was saying “Wanna see what’s under?”~XD If there was a score sheet, I’m so gonna give her a full score~ That’s not all. Her base stand also has her Insignia printed on it, and it’s a nice design too ^^
Although I have one question…is she considered Loli?~XD Well she’s flat-chested…umm what was it called…“Tsurupeta”?~XD
Anyway, she’s definitely worth getting and I totally recommend her ^^

Another look of the upcoming figure of “Ignis” by Yamato from the latest scan. Although looking at it, it might be another exclusive figure, this time it might be Hobby Japan magazine August issue mail order exclusive ( > _ < ). Just hope I’m wrong. The figure itself is scheduled for November 2008 release and will be up for 8,190 Yen retail price.
