Here it is, released on the 12th Febuary 2008, “Nendoroid Al-Azif” from Good Smile Company finally arrived at my place this afternoon ^^

Ordered this through Hobby Search, this is the 29th release of GSC’s Nendoroid Series. Actually this is the 1st real Nendoroid figure that I actually own, and I’m totally impressed by it. Not just the details, but it’s sooooooo Mega cute!! ( = > _ < = ) Around 10 CM in height, this time it features Al-Azif from the “Deus Machina Demonbane” series. Just like any known Nendoroid figures, it comes with extra goodies, such as hands and additional face expressions.

I can tell you that you can stare at it whole day and you won’t get bored (As if, lol) ^^;

Anyway this time I took lots of shots, and this is the most I have taken. Around 30+ shots ^^; here goes~

“Talk to the Hand!!”

As expected from Good Smile Company ( ^ _ ^ )/

Decided to spend my Red Packet on this lovely “Corticarte Apa Lagranges 1/8 Scale” from Good Smile Company. Got this from KKnM for S$91, and looks like it’s the last of the stock, unless there’s more hidden ^^;. Actually, I have had my eyes on it since its release, but couldn’t decide whether I want to get it or not, until now ^^;

Anyway Corticarte is the main heroine from the anime “Shinkyoku Sokai Polyphonica” aired in Mid-2007. I still haven’t watch it yet, but probably gonna try and give it a look when I have the chance. You can view the OP below:

Just like any Good Smile Company releases, you can expect a good quality figure from them. The details were great and I really like the pose to be honest ^^; The figure is supported with a thick .5 CM metal bar, and the base stand also has Corticarte’s Insignia embed on it ^^ No extra goodies comes with the figure, but the skirt is cast-off-able ^^

Another excellent figure ( ^ _ ^ )/

Released on 5th Febuary 2008, this “Tsuruya-San 1/8 Scale Figure” from Max Factory just arrived at my place today ^^

Another excellent release from Max Factory indeed. Probably, for me, Max Factory offers the best quality of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu series figures, atleast for the 1/8 scale ^^ Anyway, the figure comes with a Cat’s Tail, additional hand immitating a Cat’s Paw, and Neko Mimi (Cat’s Ear), which you can switch around~

The main highlight for this figure is probably the hair. It’s really well done and looks great. The Maid outfit also looks great and don’t forget, the face expression which really potrays Tsuruya character ^^

If you didn’t know yet, Good Smile Company is planning to release the 2nd set of “Nendoroid-Petit Suzumiya Haruhi no Yutsuu” series this coming May, and Hobby Search is already opening pre-orders starting today.

Just like the previous set, there will be 5 different characters from the series
and each will be getting 2 Versions of it, plus 1 Secret Figure, which we don’t know of yet.

There will be 12 figures given for the set, so the 12th figure will be a random figure. The only different with this 2nd set is that we’ll get Ryoko and Kyon’s Sister, instead of Kyon and Tsuraya-San.

I personally like the 1st set better. Haruhi’s expression on this set looks awkward, doesn’t really potray her usual “character”, but Kyon’s Sister definitely gets a plus here ^^

The price is around the same price as the 1st set, with each costing for 500 Yen if you buy them individually.

I was surprised when I saw a package on my table after I got home from classes today. Stupid me, I totally forgot I ordered this last month through Hobby Search for 5,200 Yen ( = _ = ); Anyway what’s in the package was this lovely “Nagato Yuki 1/8 Scale Figure” from Max Factory ^^ Now I’m left with Mikuru and Tsuruya to complete my collection ^^;

The box actually much bigger than the previous 2 Max Factory figures, since this time you can swap Yuki’s costume between the school uniform and the witch outfit ^^ The figure comes with an extra upper body and the witch outfit (Hat, Cape, and Wand) set. Also 2 pairs of glasses~

Another great quality figure from Max Factory. Now I’m confused whether I want to display Yuki with the normal uniform or the witch costume ( > _ <);; Both version looks great ^^;

Dannychoo.com just posted a good news regarding a new “Figma” figure featuring Konata from Lucky Star. The news Stated that this figure is made as part of the Wonder Festival activities. Good Smile Company will be taking pre-orders soon for this figure. Whether you can get this through other online shops is still unknown.

Will you be getting this? I know I will ^^ Other Figma figures so far that I know of is Nagato Yuki and the main character from Code Geass (forgive me, forgot his name >.<; ) The turn off point probably the joints, but I think it looks great ^^ I don’t think you can find any other Konata figure cosplaying as Haruhi anywhere else (for now), and the quality is great ^^;

The figure comes with an additional “Hand” holding a knife/dagger.

Planning to get the rest of the Max Factory figures, and I know it won’t be easy ^^;

I think I like this background better than the usual “Curtain” shots :p I’ll probably need to get more lights for better picture.

EDIT: Added 2 new “test” pics for my new photo taking set up below ^^;

I think it looks much better now ^^, although I do still need to improve the lightening to bring out the colours more =/

Gonna switch to different topic other than Gunpla this time ^^;

This time is my “Mitsuru Kirijo 1/7 Scale Figure” from the Playstation 2 game, “Persona 3”.

Anyway, one of the character that you get to play is “Mitsuru Kirijo”. She’s like the “Perfect” girl in the game storyline; Smart, pretty, sexy, rich, and of course it won’t be complete without the Student Council President position ^^;

She just have that “charm”, if you get what I mean ^^

Back to topic :p I spotted this figure at KKnM (was quite hidden among the boxes) and decided to get it for S$90.

I really like the quality of the figure. It’s well-detailed ^^

What I like about it is the base stand. One of the stuff is the design, but the main highlight is that it can act as a “container”. They made it so that you can store the “extra” hands and weapons inside ^^ The skirt is also removable hehe 😀

I spotted “Aegis” at Rapid Culture the other day, but someone got it before me 😦

Anyway another news is that the new anime based on the game Persona 3, just started this week. It takes place 10 years after the event of the game. Title is “Persona -Trinity Soul-“ ^^
