Just got these two kits today; “1/100 Gundam Virtue” and “MG Nu Gundam -Metallic Coating Version” ^^

I have to say, I’m surprised with how big Virtue box is. It’s as big as MG’s box ( > _ < ), but luckily Nu’s box isn’t as big as Sazabi’s ^^; I’ll probably will do Nu first and then Virtue, although I probably won’t be able to finish them until next week…really busy this week ( = _ = );

As usual, I’ll do the reviews after I finished with them ( ^ _ ^ )/

For those who missed the chance in getting the 1/144 Astraea Conversion Kit for the HG Gundam Exia, Bandai has brought you a good news. Bandai is planning to release “1/100 Gundam Astraea” this coming April 2008 with the price of 2,940 Yen.

Ahh, thank god ( > _ < ). That’s Bandai for you ^^;

A little bit late, but my next Gunpla entry is this cool looking “MG Strike Noir Gundam” ^^

I think this was like my 1st MG kit I ever bought, can’t remember (Yeah, I’m getting old… >.< ). Anyway, just like what I mentioned before, my Strike Noir is one of the kit that still have no panel lines done yet, just like my “MG Ex-S Gundam”. Regardless of that, it’s still look cool ^^; I’m planning to add them when I have the time, and when would that be…still undecided ( T _ T ).

Next Gunpla entry is this “PG Strike Gundam” ^^

Here it is, the ultimate Gunpla kit which is even better than that of a Master Grade, Perfect Grade. There is only a number of PG kit been released so far, less than 20 kits. This time I’ve decided to get Strike Gundam. I got this like 5 months ago for S$190 from HAG.

Just like its name, the quality is amazing. You can do lots of different poses with it, and the details, to be honest, is even better than the anime counterpart. The scale is 1/60 and it comes with a LED gimmick located on its head, which allows the eyes to “light” up.

This one took me around 5-6 days to complete, since it’s my first PG kit. There isn’t really a need to do panel lines because of the details, but it’ll look much cooler if you do it ^^

Perfect Grade kits are always worth getting, but only get it if you are really know what you are doing. Not only it’s expensive, but you probably do not want to ruin or break it ( ^ _ ^ );

As promised, here it is “MG Destiny Gundam – Extreme Blast Mode -“ ^^

Managed to finish it during Chinese New Year break ^^; As mentioned before, Extreme Blast Mode offers some goodies that the normal version doesn’t have. They are the “Wings of Light”, 2 clear figures of Shin and Kira, and some weapon gimmick effects.

Other changes include Silver Chrome Joints and Gold colour Decals, both Dry and Water. Overall there isn’t much differences in terms of mobility and appearance, other than those goodies. Although the price is higher than normal version, I think it’s worth getting if you have some extra cash. The “Wings of Light” is one of the reason you should get it ^^

As promised, here’s the review for “1/100 Gundam Kyrios” ^^ Just finished it today.

Kyrios took me a full 2 days to finish it. This time I’d like to challenge myself and tried to get Kyrios as close as the Manual. Lots of painting and colouring to do, also panel lines. Did my best, and I’m glad how it turns out ^^ After all, Kyrios is my favourite Gundam from Gundam OO series and probably the most cool looking Gundam for Mobile Armor type :p

Next entry is from the same line up series, MSV Astray, as Blue Frame, which is “1/100 Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu” ^^

I didn’t have the Astray Red Frame to complete my collection, sold out everywhere =/ And the new Green Frame also planned for release, although I’m planning to get the 1/100 scale if it ever comes out.

Amatsu comes with Gold Chrome Joints and also a slick black skintone, which makes the price higher than normal 1/100 scale.

Out of the 3 current Astray releases, I actually like Amatsu looks the most ( ^ _ ^ )/

Alright, next Gunpla entry is this “1/100 Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L – Extra Finish Ver. -“ ^^

The only different with this and the normal version is that the Extra Finish Ver. comes with Metallic Chrome Coating and it cost more, but don’t worry, the chrome quality is nothing compared to “MG Sazabi MCV” ^^;

Chrome coating means there isn’t really a need to add panel lines. Took me around 1 day to complete it. What I like about this kit is the big sword. It can also turns into a gatling gun/cannon ^^

Umm, maybe it’s just me, but I think this is the only 1/100 no-grade scale that comes with water decal, atleast that I know of. There are probably others.

Although it’s nothing compared to MG Sazabi MCV, I think it’s still cool looking. Worth getting ( ^ _ ^ )/

As promised, here’s the 2nd part of the review of “MG Unicorn Gundam Ver. Ka” which features the Destroy Mode ^^

The main highlight for Unicorn probably the ability for it to transform to both Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode. The transformation sequence isn’t really hard to do. It’s just that you do need to de-assemble it to do it. Unicorn actually gets taller when it turns to Destroy Mode ^^; Atleast the height will increased by 4-5 cm ^^ Decided to get an “Action Base” for Unicorn. Too bad there isn’t any Clear White version for sale.

As promised. I’ll do a review on “MG Unicorn Gundam Ver. Ka” once I’m finished with it ^^ As for Unicorn, I will split the entries into 2 for the Unicorn Mode and the Destroy Mode respectively. So Unicorn Mode will be the 1st for now ^^;

If you follow “Ver. Ka” kit release, Unicorn is the 4th entry for Hajime Katoki‘s MG kit (Maybe 5th if you count both Crossbone normal and Full Cloth). As usual Hajime Katoki’s design is always top notch ^^

Ok, I’m really impressed with this kit. I mean, for me, Unicorn probably the best looking MG for 2007 release (It’s originally released on Dec 2007, but I only got it this Jan 2008 ^^; ). Took me around 3 days to complete it. The most frustrating part probably applying the decals. Tons of them, but fun ^^ Took me around almost 5 hrs just for the decals ( > _ < ) The only let down for Unicorn is the mobility. You can’t really create many different poses with Unicorn. I guess they decrease the mobility in exchange for the transformability capability ^^;, but that doesn’t prevent people from finding the way to counter it. There’s already lots of Mod around the net on how to increase Unicorn’s mobility ^^

As you can see, you can transform Unicorn Gundam to either the Unicorn Mode or the Destroy mode, just like the original. What can I say, Bandai did really well adapting it.

The stock for “1/100 Gundam Kyrios” finally came in ^^ Got this today from HAG for S$39.90.

Hobby Point also has it. Was planning to buy from Hobby Point, but I think the owner was away, since the door was locked eventhough it was opened. Anyway, decided to check out HAG for Kyrios and there you go ^^ There are still lots of stock for this, and more selection of kits than ever since it looks like another batch of stocks just came in.

As usual, I’ll do a review of it once I’m finished ^^ As for “MG Unicorn Gundam”, it’s already completed, just left with decals. Should be able to post on it by tomorrow. Look forward to it ( ^ _ ^ )/

Next Gunpla entry is this big “MG Ex-S Gundam” ^^

This is one impressive MG kit. Compared to normal MG, Ex-S Gundam is bigger and almost double the size of a 1/100 scale. Even the stand use for it is the same one as the one from “PG Skygrasper + Aile Striker Pack” ^^ It can transform into either Gundam mode or the “Cruiser” mode. Also comes with an extra “Core” ship for display. If you watch SEED Destiny, it’s almost similar as Impulse Gundam in terms of transformability, but of course, much better ^^

Sad to say, but this is one of the kits I have that don’t have any panel lines done yet. I’ll start panelling it once I have some free time
^^; The other 2 Kits I have with no panel lines yet is “MG Strike Noir” and “PG Skygrasper”.

Another excellent kit from my collection is this “MG Strike Freedom Gundam – Full Burst Mode -“ ^^

This kit is worth every penny, if you do have some extra cash to get it. Apart from the normal MG Strike Freedom, FBM comes with gold chrome joint and an additional stand for the “Dragoon System” gimmick ^^ Moreover, it also comes with a special bonus poster. The poster made out of plastic instead of paper, featuring Strike Freedom VS Destiny + the pilots. The decals also comes with gold effect instead of silver in FBM version.

Dragoon System~

Basically in this FBM version, you get to display your “Dragoons” as if it was flying midair, by using some clear plastic wire. The let down of it is that it isn’t sturdy enough, which cause it to bend down when displayed.

Took me around 3 days to complete it. Despite the wire problem, FBM is worth getting, just like MG Destiny’s EBM version ^^

Next Gunpla entry from my collection is this cool looking “MG Strike Gundam + I.W.S.P” ^^

To tell the truth I really like how it looks, and it got one heck of weapon arsenal ^^; If you own “MG Strike Noir”, you can actually equip Striker’s I.W.S.P pack on it, and vice versa. Well according to the story, I.W.S.P is the prototype of Strike Noir~ Took me around 2 days to complete it.

It has 2 swords, 1 beam rifle, extra shield, 2 beam cannon, and more. What can I say, another excellent MG kit worth getting ^^

On another note, “MG Strike E + I.W.S.P” owns both Strike I.W.S.P and Noir’s weapon arsenal ^^;

Finally, after a long wait, my MG Unicorn Gundam arrived at HAG today. Just went to collect it this afternoon ^^ While collecting, to my surprise, saw MG Destiny Gundam “Extreme Blast Mode” just arrived at the store also. So, I’ve decided to get it, since they’re having a special discount only for this weekend. Sold for S$109…Can’t resist ^^;

Quite busy this week, so probably won’t be able to start building until next week. I think I’ll start with Unicorn 1st, then EBM ^^;
